About Us

Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire exists to help provide you with free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects.

We're an independent charity, reliant upon funding from various sources. We are one of 280 Local Citizens Advice.

Our Service

We're a charity that provides free and expert advice on the problems people are facing. Benefits, debt, employment, housing, consumer advice and more.

We can help you with filling in forms, drafting letters and contacting third parties on your behalf.

We can work with you to sort out your debt problems and help identify and support you with welfare rights benefits you may be entitled to.

We can advise on housing and employment problems, or deal with queries about consumer or tax issues. We can advise on legal matters, answer basic questions about immigration, and we have lots of experience on family and personal matters too.

Our advice agreement (client agreement)

We are a charity, dependent on a workforce of paid staff and trained volunteers.

We speak up for change in social policies; from our clients’ experiences we can see where services and policies are failing. We call this work “Campaigning for Change”.

We are a member of the national Citizens Advice service, which provides the extensive information system we use to advise clients and sets quality standards.

Citizens Advice

Our network provides free and independent advice in 2,500 locations across England and Wales. Last year 21,600 highly trained volunteers supported the delivery of our work alongside 7,000 paid staff.
